Our Midwest University bought 8 of these chairs to put by our residence halls, our students and mowing service have broken four of the chairs- four legs have been snapped off, three back supports have fallen off and one of the seat slats have fallen out. I had the chairs color matched and I repaired the chairs with good old fashion plywood- it is the end of summer and I noticed that the chairs have faded and the repairs have remained their bright original color. I do not think it is fair to call these chairs high impact and maintenance free, mowers and kids will break these chairs and the sun will fade them. The students love them, they are comfortable but they do not hold up. I would buy these for my own home, but then again I do not live where the wild things are.

Adirondack chairs are well built. Had some problems putting chairs together because not all holes were predrilled. Lily at Serwall Customer Service assisted us with written materials and videos to help us put together the chairs. Once completed it was obvious they were well built and will provide us with many years of enjoyment. Great customer service and quality chairs.

We bought four of these chairs a year ago and liked them so much we bought two more. They are comfortable and they fold up nicely for seasonal storage. Unfortunately, we did have a problem with the second order of chairs. Serwall it was great to work with and they took care of us as good as could be expected.

These were time intensive to assemble. Nice final product, but I’d say each one took me about 1.5 hours to assemble. I was missing one pre-drilled hole, but the company was quick and responsive in remedying the situation.
They’re beautiful and comfortable. Directions are good. Set aside some time for assembly.

Chairs arrived nicely packed with no damage or missing parts. The included instructions were inaccurate which caused a one day delay before I could put them together. I contacted Serwall and they emailed me the correct instructions and assured me that I could use the included screw driver to put some of the screws in that did not have predrilled holes. This worked well but I would recommend starting the screws with a screwdriver then driving them in with a small drill. I did not have to predrill any holes. In the end everything went together smoothly. The assembly process was quite easy and the finished products are awesome.

See my video comparison of the Serwall folding Adirondack chair with the Polydun folding Adirondack chair. Of the two, the Serwall, when on sale, is slightly more expensive, but it appears to be made from better materials (polystyrene, vs HDPE for some other chairs) and with appropriate length bolts, unlike those with the Polydun Adirondack chair.
Overall, I think the Serwwall folding Adirondack chair is well-made and should last a long time and looks great.

We bought four of these for our beach home in NC and love them. I did some research and am glad we chose this brand. Unlike other Adirondack chairs these sit up higher, have a curved back and are very comfortable. I am 6' 4" and they are easy to get in and out of.

Two chairs. One was a gift, the other was bought recently.
The purple chair is together WITHOUT the front brace. It is drilled, but the part of the chair where it goes is not drilled. I tried to drill it myself, but whatever material it is made of, the drill simply was useless. I couldn't get the drill to penetrate.
UPDATE: Serwall reached out to me and we have rectified the situation. I am happy with the chairs we have, and because of the quick nature of their response I am upgrading the rating from one star to four.
The orange chair has two undrilled components. Same thing. This chair is unusable at all - it cannot be built since the pre-drilled holes are not there.
One more thing about the purple chair - they give you an allen wrench that is way too small, and shallow allen wrench bolts that they call "carriage bolts". They look cheap on this beautiful chair. I will probably take it apart and redo all the bolts with real carriage bolts.
The orange chair is headed to the dump. What a shame. As you can see, they aren't cheap.

Ok, I'll start out by saying that I spent quite a bit of time researching Poly adirondack Chairs before making a purchase since we were looking for six of them and I want them to last. These chairs had mixed reviews but all of the reviews from 2022 were 5 star and it appeared that they improved the original design. Even though, I tried out one for a week before opening the rest. The assembly was fairly easy and took about 5-10 min with power tools. They do come with cheap tools if you need, however it would be a pain installing some of the screws since not all of the holes were predrilled. Out of all six they were packed well and all parts were accounted for. After assembly I tried out the chair. I am 6ft 235 lbs and it seemed very sturdy and comfortable. Every piece seems thick and durable. The only downside I can see is that the pins to fold the chairs seem very tight. Probably too tight to pull out easily. I'm not concerned because I probably will never fold them. All said and done, these seem like great chairs and I would recommend to anyone.

I researched several chairs on line and retail outlets and these met my requirements the best: classic look, good reviews, good price, study and pretty easy to assemble. rarely did I find the black color I wanted. I ordered five chairs and they all arrived on time and in good shape. I was afraid of broken parts, damaged packages, etc.. but they are packaged well and all was good. assembly was not bad, I would recommend using a 10mm wrench and a drill to dive the screws just to make it easier. I like getting 5 new screwdrivers and Alan wrenches--the kind with the handles-not the little L wrenches. I got the folding chairs but will likely not use this feature but it nice to have. and I like the look of the pin locking feature on the legs.

Chairs appear to be very good quality. Arrived quickly and un-damaged as they were packaged well. They are comfortable and sturdy; very heavy so don’t plan on moving them around too much, even folded.
The instructions are another story altogether. The video clip helps some but it starts with pictures completely out of order and doesn’t in anyway indicate what pieces are being put together. The written instructions are also not much help; the tools given are useless. I bought two, the first took over an hour to put together, the second was about thirty minutes. It’s not hard once you figure out what you’re doing; would have been nice had they included a longer allen-wrench.
All in all, a great purchase and now that they are together, I am enjoying them.
