Assembly was a lot. The worst part is that the plastic wrap they used to hold the pieces together and shipping damaged the pieces and left permanent marks on them all I can probably use some googling to get some of the sticky material off some of it seems to of made an indention in the planks. One size of screws was included in the package more than needed while another one was left out completely so I had to go to Home Depot

I was sent replacement chairs and so far, we have had no additional problems with quality. I am inclined to say I just got a lemon initially. Their prompt response and willingness to address the issue and correct is why I’m changing my review and star rating. This is how customer service should be when things are not quite as they should be. Thanks Serwall.
Bought four chairs. Had high hopes for these chairs but after only two months, my son sat down tonight and the arm fell off. Screw appears stripped. There’s no vendor contact number to reach out to so I feel like I’m now stuck with a $200 broken chair.

I also own several Polywood chairs and some other similar brands which we know are high quality, so as a comparison - overall I think that these appear to be a great value. Are they "as nice"? No. Are they good enough for front porch and firepit chairs? Absolutely. The Polywood chair in this style was twice the price... and Serwall offers a lifetime guarantee, so we rolled the dice. I bought two of the gray at first to see if they were good enough, which they seem to be, so I bought 8 more. First impression is that it actually looks and feels like wood, so much so that initially we thought we ordered the wrong chairs. They may be polystyrene instead of polyethylene, and if so could be more brittle, especially sitting in the Colorado sun. Time will tell. Ours arrived well packaged, in good condition, and with all the appropriate hardware. The directions are "ok" but it's not rocket science to put them together. The supplied tools will drive you crazy and increase your assembly time tenfold. Grab a ratchet with a deep 10mm socket and a bit-holder with the proper allen-head bit and it's easy-peasy. Just note that there are TWO (just slightly longer, like barely noticeable...) bolts that are used to hold the back of the arms to the backrest. The other SIX long bolts go with the nuts and washers. Mixed them up on the first chair. Really I only have three minor complaints, but again for $200 savings per chair I can totally live with it. First, the bolts that hold the cross-braces on the legs are not long enough and should be 5mm longer if they're to be used for both the front and back leg braces. The front chair legs are thicker than the back, and the bolts aren't long enough to reach the threaded part of the insert in the cross support. I countersunk the holes on the front legs 1/4" so they would reach and have solid engagement. Second, the quality control on the depth of the factory counter-sunk holes is poor, to the extent that the "wing braces" on the front leg assembly which supports the front of the armrest are barely attached. I counter-sunk those as well and reinstalled the screws to ensure they had good engagement. Third, the arm is a little wobbly because it only has two attachment points. This will promote premature wear as you use it heavily to sit in and get up from the chair. I will fix this by placing two counter-sunk screws in the top of the arm (where your hand sits), one into the newly-reinforced wing support, and one into the front leg assembly. If you don't make the fixes I did, probably the chairs will be just fine, but I prefer my stuff to be rock-solid when possible and I bought these in the hopes that I won't ever have to replace them down the road.

Good looking chairs, quite easy to put together with the right tools. However, I was quite dissatisfied with the arm rests not being the same color hue as the back/seat. When I first opened the box, I noticed that the wrapping plastic that was holding all the parts were stained orange. I just never anticipated for the arms to be a lighter hue than the rest of the chair.
UPDATE: Factory was kind enough to reach out to me, and deliver a new set of chairs. The new chairs were perfect and exactly what we wanted. Bright orange and they look great in our outdoor living space!

I was really disappointed, because I like the ones we have that we’re not damaged. Serwall sent me a new complimentary chair, that we love. Very happy with me new chairs and the customer service!
Loved the two chairs that were not damaged but am disappointed I have to send two back

Great purchase! We did A LOT of research on (non wood) adirondacks before buying, and chose the Serwall chairs. Glad we did. They arrived earlier than expected. My husband put them together in about 20 minutes each, all pieces arrived intact. They are solid and roomy. He is 6’-4” and is very comfortable in the chair. We love them.

For some reason I thought this was a foldable chair but you have to built it yourself. The tools it comes with aren't the greatest, I ended up using some of my own tools because it would just spin around. Other than that, it's great. It's not plastic like it says, it's wood. Kind of heavy too. But the color is beautiful and it's solid. I am more than 300 pounds so this was a must for me. Only thing is that it didn't pass through the patio door, I had to remove the wing part that holds the arm, and then put it back once I was outside.
Still I would recommend this chair. Love it.

Loving these chairs day 1. Chairs arrived promptly and boxes were in good condition. My son and I put all 4 chairs together in 90 minutes. We used a drill attachment for the screws which definitely sped up assembly time. Each chair included 2 small wrenches so a drill wasn’t absolutely necessary. The chairs are very sturdy (and a touch heavy) and appear weather resistant. Time will tell how they hold up in the PNW. The sit is very comfortable with a back angle that supports my lower back (some Adirondack chairs are too deep for me at 5’7”). The color is a deep burnt orange which complements the color of the cedar tree nearby. Thumbs up on this purchase so far.
